Fantasy Folkdress or Bunad

Tried to make a Folkdress or Bunad as we call it here in Norway. Was a bit tricky to put it on a doll with stiff arms. So I had to make some adjustments on the dress for to dress the doll in an easy way. But somehow this is how it came out.
Here I am testing the dress. Still at  my sewing room.
Made a blouse too. And finished the dress with apron and bonnet. I am very satisfied with how the dress came out. Think I am going to make more of theese dresses.
A little flower on both sides of the bonnet.

The Christmas spirit.

The dolls have already started to celebrate Christmas. They have decorated the Christmas tree and are singing Christmas songs. It is delightful to listen at. And Tjorven is so excited.
Tjorven and Tjorven has started to decorate the Christmas tree.

Toni came along just to inspect what theese two rascals are doing. Because if she don`t follow them up, they are able to tear down the house.

 Singing Silent night.

And even some of Tonis friend from US came along for to join their Christmas spirit.

Merry Christmas to all of you all around the world. My hope for Christmas and years to come: May there be peace all around the world, and all the killing must stop. Because it is really enough now. Nobody should die  for no reason at all. Let us all be friends for now and forever.

New parcel for me :)

So excited .... I was waiting sooo much for this little darling. And at last...
Open the box... and a little sneekpeek.... Just look at the lovely colour of the hair.
Tear off some more paper... and there she is
A new walker doll, listed as a 1950's hard plastic walker, signed with 170 on the back, and
Made in USA. So now I got two beautiful walker dolls from the same factory.

I felt in love the first time I saw her.
I knew I just needed to buy her. Gorgeus hair colour.  Just a beautiful example of an old walker doll.

Have to get her styled and put on some old clothes... I see the clothes she is going to wear in my head. So I have to make them for her.
Also have to get her hair done later.

Look at theese to lovely sweeties, just adorable.
When I was a little girl, I wanted dolls like theese two. I`ll come back later and tell you how that stoy ended...
For now on I am just going to sit down and let my eyes sweep in theese two lovely ladies for the rest of the evening.

Baby Barry 16" Vintage walker doll from USA

Came across this doll, so I just had to buy her. I love her face, hair, eyes, teeth, dress, shoes... wait... can I just say I love her as the beauty she is?
Her walker mecanism is working perfect.
No marks or scars on her.
But she smell a little bit odd... maybe it is from some Mothballs?
I do not know her name, but she is marked: Made in U.S.A. 170 She`s about 16" long. So if anybody could tell me her name I would be very thankfull.

Update: 3 hours after I putted out this blogpost, I got her name. She is a Baby Barry. Thank you  for the information Mary Jane.

 Beautiful sleeping eyes.
