I am confused and ashamed.

Why?
I am on several doll sites, chatting and also sometimes buying stuff. 

But when I go out on the big web my heart just stops jumping. What on earth are people thinking when they ask for astronomic prizes on dolls that are just lovely and beautiful? There is spesific one doll where the prices has gone skyhigh: Tjorven Ratti doll.

She is not rare, she has her era in the 60`ties and 70`ties. And there are loads of them around in the world. As mentioned not rare, but beautiful. 

I have some of theese dolls and I love their faces, and I am ashamed of the prices some people dare to take for this lovely doll.  She is not worth the price you put on her. Some of the dolls are also badly damaged, eyes are broken, legs and body fall apart, and even then, prices are from about $50 and all the way up to $250.
And people that are buying doll at theese cost are even dumber. I would concider buying a "new" doll for $50, but she have to be ok:Shiny hair, eyes ok, and also body ok, and of course with no marks on.
So for the people that tries to earn money on me for theese dolls: Happy selling. I enjoy my dolls, whose not rare at all. They are all happy dolls, look at their smiles.

Here are some of my dolls, that I have taken pictures of, still many left to give a photo session.
I haven`t counted how many I got, but I suppose about 25-30. So if I take a shortcut and estimate the price after $250 each I am am rich! 

$6250-7500, that is a lot of money.

 

New dresses with snakeskin print

New from the sewing machine. Got hold of some fabric with snakeskin print. The fabric is thin cotton.
Looking well on theese two ladies.

Theese two girls are ready for a snake Party.

Had to make a dress that was shorter. This one was sold to a doll lady. She wanted a shorter dress.

Litlte Ratti cousin also wanted a dress.

She also wanted to mingle some with Tjorven before she had to go to bed.

This Ratti doll is just stunning with her strong colours. 

And the way her hair is done is rare. None other dolls I`ve seen or own, has theese kind of bangs. The hair is short at the back, and long at the front.
I suppose she once was made as a souvenir doll. And that is because some of her outfit was glued on to the body. Her outfit looks like it is Dutch. And the dress was sewn on after it was putted on. Maybe there once was a hat too, but I do not have it.

She looked like this when I got her.

I have to wash up her dress later,and resew it, so it can be used again.

Here you can see where the bangs have been sewn on.

So I had to cut off the sewing on the dress, and give her a real bath. 

Look at her beautiful colours. 

Sadly there are some paint from the doll factory on one of her eyes. But I will not take it off. The paint is there to stay. 

And the hair is so shiny.

Here you can see how the hair is done.  Kind of strange way to cut the hair. The comb fastened by the roots of the hair, because of some stray hairs. And if someone has been combing it before, they have done it extremely gently.

I tried to comb the hair and put it up in different ways.

This is the top of her head.

The line goes exactely on the top. The other dolls I got, the hairline is on the right side of the head. 

The hair is dry and hanging loose. It does not fit the face.

The hair fastened  at the back. It did not match either. But it was better looking.

I am quite sure I`ve found out how the hair is supposed to be done. This looked right. Maybe she once was braided too.

So now it is time to show her off in full size.

She looks like Sophie, so it is her name for now on.

New dresses sewn on the last day of Easter, for Little sister and her cousin.

Two small Ratti dolls 8"

Got hold of two small Ratti dolls 8": Little sister and her Couisin. This is what they are named in Norway. But I am sure that this is not their originally name.
Here they are finished taking their first bath along with other friends.

Laying on their bellies so the water can drip off.

Not so much adjustment for theese eyes. But I could not get rid of the yellow blur on the eye apple.

Socket on theese eyes were broken. 

Out with the eyes.

Testing out how the new eyes will be on the dolls. Iam satisfied, so there are only adjustment of the eyes left.

Little sister still have some stains of red on her forehead. 

Newly washes and clean dresses

But of course I just had to dress them up with newly sewed dresses.So now they are ready to meet the other dolls in the family.
